I just finished up getting everything ready for tomorrow. I work out in the mornings at the gym on base and I usually have enough time to go home and shower before I have to be to work. But on Friday I was told that my schedule is going to be changing a little bit and it will not allow me enough time to make it home to shower and get ready before I have to be to work. It's going to be a change for me b/c I do not like taking a shower at the gym but I can handle it. I only have to do this until I pass my fitness test and then I can make my own workout schedule!
I am feeling pretty darn good! My husband told me that he can notice a difference. I didn't even have to ask this time!!! :-) One of my friends and I took our measurements & pics about three weeks ago. I haven't really been incorporating weights or anything but I have cleaned up my eating and have been doing cardio. I also have started this healthy lifestyles program seminar every Thursday (recommended by my supervisor). It's great so far! They have handouts every week and they have a scale that we can weigh in if we want to (not mandatory). Well the first day was 20-Apr and I weighed myself. Then again on 27-Apr and I had lost 2 lbs. I am very happy about that. One of my goals is to constantly lose 2 lbs a week.
Tomorrow I am starting the lifting program out of Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle. I am very excited about this whole thing b/c over the weekend I sat down and wrote out my goals. My ultimate, one-year, 3-month and daily goals. I know this is all attainable and I can't wait!!
I had a practice on Thursday and I cut my run time down by 12 seconds. Every time I ran in the past I would want to stop and walk around the start of my second lap (not far, huh?) but on Thursday I ran the whole 6 laps without wanting to stop ONCE! That is so awesome for me. AND that means that I am getting better. Another thing, I ran my sixth (last) lap 3 seconds faster than my first one. How great is that?!?!? I just can't believe it... That means that I ran FIVE laps and STILL had it in me to run faster and finish with a better time. I'm so proud of myself!
So next Sunday my friend and I will take 4-week pics and our measurements and I can't wait. Even my clothes are fitting better!
Have a wonderful week everyone!!

Well, first off, I have given into my temptations for the cigarettes! I had about four or five Saturday night and then I bought a pack Sunday morning. Oh well, what can ya do?!? I am sure I will try quitting again real soon.
Went for a run/walk on Saturday and Sunday, probably about a mile. Did aerobics on Monday, walked on the treadmill on Tuesday (2 miles) b/c it was so darn windy out here (plan was to run outside), kickboxing on Wednesday and ran 1.5 miles for my practice P.T. test today.
Met with my First Sergeant yesterday and received an LOC (Letter of Counseling) for not passing my fitness test. Overall: zero pts for my waist circumference, 21 pts for my 1.5 mile run at 19:15, 4 pts for 5 pushups in one minute and 9 pts for 45 situps in one minute. A total of 34.00 pts! BAD!!!... I need at least 70 pts for a marginal score. And I have until 6-Jul to test again and if I don't receive AT LEAST 70 pts I will have to meet with my Commander! I am working towards the 70 pts goal as we speak (so to say)!...
One good thing came from meeting with my First Sergeant yesterday. I have been keeping a food diary every now and then but haven't been keeping track of calories or fat grams. WELL... he wants me to keep a food diary EVERY day and track my calories and fat grams and he will check it once a week. This man is hard core so I know that I won't be eating anything bad until I pass my fitness test! Both good and bad that he wants to see my food diary. There will be no lying or leaving stuff out. If he ever finds out (I don't know how he would, but...), I could get in big trouble, mister! Just knowing that he is going to check it has helped me out A LOT the past couple of days. I know with the BFL you are supposed to track everything anyways well I hadn't been doing that. Nor have I been eating authorized foods all the time. WELL now I have no choice. I should be losing weight fast now. Don't ya think?!?!

Forgot to mention that I have quit smoking. I know it will help with all of the running that I plan on doing.
I had quit October 2004 and started back up in December 2005. So it's only been a few months. I can tell you that I do miss it but I know it's something I can live without. Now if my husband could just realize that! :-)
So I am on Day #2!... and going strong!

Well the plan was to walk on Tuesday and Wednesday night but I heard that it was supposed to storm on Thursday (the day I was to PT test). So I decided to do my PT test on Tuesday night. I ran 1.5 miles in 19:15, 45 situps in 1 min and 5 pushups in 1 min. I didn't do as well as I had wanted to so I decided I was gonna retest on Thursday. The next plan was to walk Wednesday night after work but I was so whooped that I ended up falling asleep once I got home.
I retested this morning. Running the 1.5 miles in 19:20. The wind was unreal. Needless to say, I am taking the results from Tuesday's run. It's better. And now I have THREE months to train my butt off (literally) for my 1.5 mile run!!
Just wanted to update. I will write more later.

I met up with one of my friends at a near by park yesterday with my dog and we walked for 2 miles. It was beautiful out and it gave me a chance to clear my head. Plus I think my dog, Bailey, enjoyed himself as well.
Today was day one of four of a training class that my supervisor wanted me to attend. The information that they are teaching is soooooooooooooooo dry and the lady is so monotone it was very hard to stay awake. Thank goodness for coffee!!
I didn't do too much today. Eating was not on but I didn't pig out either. My husband, Jason, and I were supposed to run today to get ready for my test on Thursday but I ended up taking a nap after I got home from work. It was only supposed to be an hour but turned into 3.5. Oops!! He tried to wake me but that just didn't happen. Tomorrow the plan is to take it easy in preparation for Thursday. So my friend and I are planning on meeting up at the park again tomorrow after work. I also plan on walking on Wednesday as well.
So... Until tomorrow!

I have been meaning to update for the past week but haven't made time to get on here and do it. So... I have fallen off the wagon. It's been three weeks since I've followed my program to a 'T'. I have been doing aerobics on Mondays & Fridays (b/c it's mandatory at work) and kickboxing on Wednesdays and on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month we have a practice PT test so I have been running a 1.5 miles on those days. But that's it. I haven't been eating all that well either. I have been attempting but we all know how that goes! So...
I have decided that I am going to start running and following the bfl workouts to a 'T' starting tomorrow. My husband will take my before picture and my measurements tomorrow as well. And I'll be off...
Just wanted to update.
